Peter Facinelli  wurde am 26. November 1973 in Queens, New York geboren.

Sein Filmdebut gab Peter Facinelli 1995 in dem Drama „Angela". Gemeinsam mit Angelina Jolie war er im Jahr darauf in „Foxfire" zu sehen. Der Durchbruch gelang Facinelli durch die TV-Serie „Fastlane". Für die Fernsehserie „Six Feet Under - Gestorben wird immer" erhielt das Schauspielensemble 2005 eine Nominierung für den Screen Actors Guild Award. Im Jahr 2008 übernahm Peter Facinelli die Rolle des Dr. Carlisle Cullen in „Twilight - Bis(s) zum Morgengrauen", den er auch in der Fortsetzung „New Moon - Bis(s) zur Mittagsstunde" spielte.

Seine deutsche Stimme wird Peter Facinelli in „Twilight" von Philipp Moog geliehen.
